*INTERESTING FACT –

The S.S. Montebello (an oil tanker ship) was torpedoed and sunk by a Japanese submarine off the coast of Cambria on December 23, 1941, just 16 days after the attack on Pearl Harbor. All 38 crewmembers survived. The wreckage still lies six miles off Moonstone Beach.

Pismo Beach Pier

(July 4, 9am-10pm)

Attendees can enjoy local vendors along the pier starting at 9am with music from 12-9pm. Fireworks are launched from the pier at 9pm.

Avila Beach

Pancakes & Dog Parade

(July 4, 8:30am-12pm)

The Avila Beach Community Center hosts a pancake breakfast from 8:30-10am, charging $10 for adults and $5 for kids 6 and under. After breakfast, enjoy the annual Doggie Parade and costume contest on the Promenade from 11am-12pm.

Sand Sculpture Contest,
Parade and Fireworks

Downtown Cayucos

(July 4th, 4am-9pm)

Family friendly fun starts with a sand sculpture contest that wraps up at 10am, when the annual parade down Ocean Avenue begins. After the parade, head to the Lions Club for a community bbq. The Front Street Faire featuring shopping and food vendors runs from 10am to 6pm, and at 9pm fireworks are launched from the pier.

More than 100 booths will feature fine art, handcrafted goods, and unique creations in a scenic outdoor setting. Visitors can enjoy a variety of food and beverage offerings throughout the event, which begins on Friday, July 3rd, and continues through Sunday, July 5th. Admission is free.

This family-friendly celebration offers free admission, free parking, and complimentary RV parking. The evening concludes with a spectacular fireworks display after dark.

This celebration begins with the Templeton Fire Department’s Pancake Breakfast at 8am (tickets available through the Fire Department). At 9:30, the community parade, hosted by the Rotary Club of Templeton, travels along Crocker and Main from 1st to 8th Streets. Following the parade, festivities continue in Templeton Park with live music, food trucks, cold beverages, and family-friendly activities.
